Airflow housing & CMF

Helix / Helio WorksTranslucent amber-orange polycarbonate. Brushed aluminium.
Air, given
a visible form.
Helix brings the mechanics of a desk fan into view. A thick amber-orange turbine housing reveals broad curved blades behind a precise radial grille, giving the object character at rest.
A single brushed-aluminium arch holds the circular body off-centre and curls beneath it into an oval base. A large knurled wheel places the speed control beside the hand.
Amber material turns the blade geometry and glowing edges into part of the form.
The clear housing catches daylight while the metal arch keeps its outline light.
Movement inside.
Clarity outside.
- A housing that reveals
- The thick transparent shell refracts light around its flared rim, keeping the turbine visible within. The protective grille gives that view a precise radial rhythm.
- An arch instead of a pedestal
- The aluminium support follows a single sinuous curve around the circular housing, then turns beneath it. A broad oval base gives the asymmetrical composition a stable footing.
- A control made for fingers
- A large knurled orange wheel creates a tactile contrast with the clear housing. Its position at the foot makes the adjustment separate from the moving assembly.
