Still / Sona AudioPersimmon-orange aluminium. A brushed orbital gimbal.
An object
with its own orbit.
Still gives sound an unexpected presence in the home. A persimmon-orange sphere sits within two offset aluminium arcs, turning a familiar speaker into an open orbital composition.
The perforated shell carries the acoustic body; the brushed gimbal gives it a place to rest. One graphite dial makes the point of interaction immediately clear against the curved surface.
One dark dial interrupts the precise rhythm of the perforated sphere.
The open arcs frame the acoustic body and catch the room around it.
A sphere.
Two open arcs.
- Perforation as a surface
- Fine repeated openings let the orange shell read as a continuous sphere at a distance. Up close, their rhythm reveals the object's acoustic purpose.
- A gimbal that holds space
- Two brushed-aluminium arcs cross at different angles around the acoustic body. Their exposed pivot points explain the support, while a thin orange plinth anchors the assembly.
- One deliberate interaction
- The oversized graphite dial is easy to locate by eye and hand. Its matte surface creates a tactile contrast with the perforated shell and brushed support.
