Show the calculation assumptions
400 W panels, $3/W installed solar, 1,500 kWh/kW/year, $0.22/kWh electricity, 2% yearly rate growth, 0.5% yearly panel degradation and $150 yearly maintenance. Initial production value is capped at 90% of the starting bill. Financing assumes $0 down and no fees; the interest rate and term are examples, not lender terms.

Good questions. Clearer decisions.
Money questions deserve plain answers.
Is the online price a final quote?
No. It’s an illustrative starting point based on your bill, a sample cost per watt and your storage choice. A survey checks the roof and electrics, and an installer confirms your written quote.
Are incentives included?
No incentives are applied in this model. Availability and eligibility depend on location, date, ownership and individual circumstances. Check current official programmes and ask your installer to itemise any claim.
Does financing change the total I pay?
Yes. Interest and any fees add to the installed cost. The monthly example shows the payment count, total amount paid and interest so you can compare the whole cost. It is not a loan offer.
Why don’t you add battery savings to the estimate?
The benefit depends on actual usage, import and export rates, charging behaviour and battery losses. Rather than assuming that benefit, this model includes the battery cost and leaves its incremental savings at zero.
What should I compare between installer quotes?
Compare equipment, expected output, total installed price, extra work, warranties, payment terms and the assumptions behind savings. Ask for differences to be explained in writing.
Can I see everything without giving my contact details?
Yes. The pricing tools, payment comparison and survey brief work in your browser. The estimate asks for an address label, but no email or phone number, and nothing is sent to an installer.
